Benzon Research was
established
in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1993. Gary
L. Benzon, the president and research director, holds a Ph.D. in Entomology
from
North Carolina State University, and B.S. and M.S. degrees in
Entomology and Applied Ecology from the University of Delaware. Prior
to 1993,
he held industry and government positions working with mosquitoes,
forest pests, indoor/urban pests, and pesticide application technology. He is
a member of the Entomological Society of America, Society of
Invertebrate Pathology, American Mosquito Control Association, and the
Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture.
Chad Finkenbinder, the Laboratory Manager, holds a B.S. in Geoenvironmental Science from Shippensburg University. He is responsible for, among other things, running bioassays, expediting insects orders, and insect rearing methods improvement. Chad has been with Benzon Research since starting as a freshman student intern. Seven dedicated technicians work to keep our laboratory insect colonies healthy 365 days per year and to assist in various research and testing. Benzon Research Inc.
