Household Pests
Benzon Research can evaluate insecticides against many pests that occur in and around dwellings, including cockroaches, house flies, ants, fleas, silverfish, and stored product pests. A modified Peet-Grady test chamber is available for standardized efficacy testing against flying insects. |

| Insecticides that
are intended for application to surfaces rather than directly on the
target insects often must be tested on a variety of substrates. Here, a
formulation containing plant essential oils applied to hardboard, vinyl
tile, and glass is evaluated against German cockroaches. Repellency may
also be evaluated using a similar method. |
